How can a campus reposition older product when new construction is not an option? This was the challenge that inspired the apartment refurbishment project. A pilot apartment was selected at a Southern California retirement community. The apartment was outdated, not having the amenities or square footage that current prospective residents are seeking. Collaboratively a design team determined a list of potential upgrades and used this inspiration list to create a virtual walkthrough. This marketing tool will allow potential residents to visualize the potential of the space and customize to their unique needs – all without the investment of construction.
